Doctor Mouth Guard
If you have experience teeth grinding or other struggling issues a doctor mouth guard may be appropriate for your daily use. The Doctor's brand sells a variety of oral health accessories including two different types of mouth guards. The first is the Classic style, which is available in one size fits all. This guard is a protective device that prevents the damage from bruxism. It serves as a cushion that separates upper and lower teeth to prevent damage to the mouth from grinding and absorbs the shock. The moldable plastic is meant to be custom fit to the precise size of your mouth.
The Advanced Doctor's Nightguard is less bulky than the Classic style. It is made with a two layer patented design consisting of an upper layer that is soft for cushioning and a lower layer that is more firm to prevent the plastic from being bit through and keeps teeth from grinding. Because the Advanced model is more secure and not as bulky as the Classic style it is preferred by many customers. Whether you choose the Classic or the Advanced model, you should know how these mouth guards are fit. If they are not sized correctly you may experience poor results.
Both the Classic and the Advanced Doctors night guard comes with detailed instructions that should be read both before and during your fitting. First, gather your supplies which are a pot for boiling water, a clock with the ability to measure seconds, a slotted spoon to remove the guard from the hot water, a small heat proof plate on which to put the guard before fitting and a mirror. The first step, of course, is to heat at least three inches of water in a pot until it reaches a rolling boil. After boiling for one minute, place the guard in the water with the channel side down.
The guard should be left in the water for 50 seconds, then removed and placed on the plate for 20 seconds. After that, you are ready to place the guard in your mouth to fit on your top teeth. Bite down gently as you do not want holes in the protector. The Doctor mouth guard package will come with detailed instructions on how to fit the device from start to finish as well as what to do if you don't fit it properly the first time. The guard should fit snugly, should not have any bite holes in it and should stay positioned in your mouth without falling out.

Don't put the bad mouth on quail, Mr.-I'm-So-Superior Today's question: I love watching quail. They are cute as a bug, but dumb as a box of rocks. Anyway, when they are out travelling with their new young they always cross the road very carefully. One adult leads, the little ones follow in single file, then an adult brings up the rear. Does the female lead and the male bring up the rear? Or the other way around? I have a problem with this question ... | ||
